Welcome to The Farrier's Wife Blacksmith Shop where our mission is to use our passion for blacksmithing to create unique, beautiful art. Whether it's decor, utensils, or jewelry a piece of our spirit is in it.
PORTFOLIO
SERVICES: The Farrier's Wife Blacksmith Shop offers private and group classes. Each class offers numerous project options to choose from. These projects provide a fun and instructive environment for building blacksmithing skills from the beginner level to the more advanced. Classes are offered for ages 10 yrs and up. OUR STORY
The Farrier's Wife Blacksmith Shop came to life as Lisa (the farrier's wife) left an 18 year career in a factory making auto parts to start a new life with her farrier, Dave, (now her husband). Lisa used her experience with metal working processes and Dave's blacksmithing background to build a shop and formulate a business plan. Lisa then began taking classes with a master blacksmith, joined the Blacksmith Association of Missouri , and completed a blacksmithing scholarship offered by The Missouri Folk Arts Program.
